They use to keep their arsenal in a big toy box in their room, but now their collection is so large they keep it in their step brothers' bedroom. You see, the Munro boys aren't here so that allows Jeb and Griffin to utilize that space. The room that we lovingly referred to as the "twins room" is now lovingly referred to as the "Nerf room". It's a little crazy. All of their friends are equally enamoured by Nerf. There's YouTube videos made by 8 to 10 year olds devoted to Nerf guns and these kids have a following! I'm not sure if we need to start a support group or not.
I had to have the boys clean up the "Nerf room" this weekend, because it was out of control. It's still a little crazy, but at least its' organized a bit. This is what it's been looking like for days. All the neighborhood boys come over to play and they run in there, grab their weapon of choice and head out and after awhile, it ends up like this:
After a little organizing, this is what it presently looks like:
Wait for it...
Wait for it...
Wait for it...
(In case you're wondering, the gray things in the back are homemade riot shields because you never know when you'll need one in the suburbs, right?) Oh, and yes, I am the mother that said her children would never play with toy guns. Yep, that mom. Wow, have things changed.
