The Jurinek boys had a dentist appointment Thursday morning. They each had cavities that needed filling and it was going to be a long appointment. To be honest with you, I was more nervous than they were. They had no idea about shots or the maddening sound of the drill. I was careful not to put my own feelings on them!
The greatest part about the experience was the "goofy juice". The dentist gave Jeb and Griffin a special drink to get them nice and loopy before he got started. They drank what looked like strawberry cough syrup and we went back to the waiting room. Within ten minutes, they were acting like little....well...drunks. Griffin was giggling and trying to get up out of his seat. Each time, he would fall over on the floor. Finally I had a death grip on him so he couldn't move. Jeb was spacey. He looked out to no where with his mouth open and giggled every once in a while. They both were very sweet, giving me kisses constantly and saying what great mom I am. A man walked in to the office and he had a huge tattoo of a griffin on the back of his leg. The boys commented loudly on the tattoo and Griffin said, " It's meeeeeeeeeeeeee.....he's a fan of mine!!"
The appointment went great with no tears or worries. I had help carrying them to the car and they slept it off when they got home. If anyone needs dental work...ask for the goofy juice! I highly recommend it.
