guns up.

Guns up! (That's what the real Texas Tech Red Raiders fans say.)
It has been so much fun being a baseball mom this season. Our Red Raiders are an awesome group of kids that play great together. This team has amazing coaches and the most supportive, positive parents in the world.
At first, I wasn't sure how we would juggle so many practices (this coach loves long practices and holds several a week) with all the other things we have going on. It didn't take long to see that this coach was awesome and he knew how to turn a group of boys (and one girl) into a real team.

The Red Raiders have worked so hard this season and are now in the championships. I personally have seen Jeb and Griffin improve tremendously this season. They definitely had to play up, being on a team with a group of kids that play club ball and practice like it's their job.

The boys didn't like this season so much at first. I got a lot of complaints when it was time to head out to practice. It's funny how that changed once they started hitting and fielding about as good as the other boys.

They both had huge hits this last game. Griffin hit one to the fence! They were glowing on the ride home and said that it was the best game ever. What a great life lesson. If we stick with something even when it's tough, our hard work pays off. Nothing is fun until you're good at it. Right, Tiger Mother?
